Typical Repaint Interval: 7-10 Years #
LP SmartSide holds paint very well compared to natural wood. Under normal conditions, you can expect 7-10 years between repaints. South- and west-facing sides that get the most UV exposure may show wear sooner.
How to Touch Up Paint #
For small touch-ups, use an exterior latex paint matching your shed’s colour. Clean and dry the area first, lightly sand any rough edges, and apply one or two coats with a brush.
Full Repaint #
For a full repaint, strip any peeling areas back to bare material, then topcoat with a quality exterior latex paint. Contact us for your original colour formula if you need it.
